Been a fan of electronic music since 2006, and find my preference lies with house/deep house, although I love techno, tech house, dub techno, others forms of electronic music etc etc. Also a huge fan of hip-hop, particularly on the production side of things. I like to collect DJ mixes too.

Absolutely worth at least one listen. "Galaxy Garden" is about as organic as something digital can get, but boy does this record just feel.. alive! The rhythms and melodies might be a little off-putting at first, but there's a real pull in the sonic ... See full review

Full of pleasantly lucid, jangly pop music that's short, sweet, and to the point. Puts a smile on your face with every song.

Alan Fitzpatrick's best tune, techno of a wholly different nature.

Immaculate track choice and smart, fluid transitioning makes this Immer just as good as the first. While the first Immer built momentum rather slowly, by the fourth track of Immer 3 we're deep in the mix. A lot more vocal pieces help to differentiate the ... See full review

Nice review, but don't belittle other people for their opinion of a mix. That's just stupid.

I feel like people too often use the word 'deep' (I'm just as guilty) but 'Leonor's Lanugo' is all that and more; shadowy, an at once dense and warm soundscape..and the kick of all kicks to bolster the foundation. Not a lot happens, but a heck of a lot ... See full review

Keinemusik's first compilation rings true with some bouncy, groovy, and bassy house that does not disappoint. &ME and Adam Port both turn in excellent tracks, the former's a slower house sound pinned to hazy, stuttering vocals and a monster bassline, and ... See full review

Bounciest bassline I've heard in a minute..sleazy and rough around the edges, the B-side is absolute fire.

Massive track from three great producers, with a huge build, intimidatingly powerful break, and a gliding denouement..beautiful!!

Two stylistically separate but qualitatively superb remixes from Egbert and Tom Middleton, and a wonderful original in 'Azimuth'. You can't go wrong with this EP. Egbert's percussive techno stormer gets my pick of the three.

The latest Cocoon comp is an improvement from last year in this listener's opinion. There's a housier feel to some of the tracks here (Visionquest, Tim Green, Rampa/ but there's an equal presence of techno, the type Cocoon champions (Mark Reeve, ... See full review

The trademark groove of a Two Armadillos record is unmistakable, and Hawthorne's Theme follows as another great example of this. Chilled groove on the A-side, clubbier sounds on the Bee.

A wonderful, thematic album from Virginia brothers Clipse, featuring some of the darkest (and best) Neptunes production to date. A sense of anxiety, paranoia, and anger pervades the album, and Clipse deliver some of their best material on tracks like ... See full review

Some of the most emotive tech house around, full of restraint, patience, but not at all less enjoyable because of it. Relaxing, mellow tech house of the best sort.

Not enough can be said for dance music that is plain old fun to dance to. That being said, there is no better reason to buy Solomun's debut album on his own Diynamic. It's fun, well-produced, and will put a smile on your face.
