Profile

VINYL GRADING:

Near Mint (NM):
Item has been opened and listened to. If there are any minor issues, (e.g. a couple of hairlines) I'll make a note of that in the item description. The sleeve will be described thoroughly. If you see 'sharp corners, no signs of wear' then it will look like you just removed the shrink.

Very Good+ (VG+):
The media will show some light signs of use which I will describe thoroughly. I will test with headphones and describe any playback issues. The cover will be described thoroughly with any issues that prevent it from being graded NM.

CD Grading:

Near Mint (NM)
Item has been opened and listened to. Media will have no scratches of other marks other than possibly very light hairlines which will be noted in the description. All artwork should be as new, no hole punches, creases, or other imperfections.

Very Good+ (VG+)
The media will show some light signs of use which I will describe thoroughly. Guaranteed to play perfectly. Artwork will be described with any issues such as hole punches, creases, or staining, etc.

SHIPPING:

VINYL is shipped outside of the cover to prevent splitting. Inner sleeves are either polypropylene or rice paper lined, except when a custom inner sleeve is included. To prevent custom inners from splitting, a generic inner will be added. I use 12" square cardboard on both sides or bubble-packaging for added protection within sturdy record mailers.

CDs will have added protection surrounding them and packaged within a bubble-packed envelope.

All orders $20 or over require tracking. If you are interested in multiple items but think the calculated shipping cost too high, please contact me to discuss. I will only charge the buyer what Canada Post charges me and can verify shipping costs online with your postal code. This is a cost that is beyond my control, so I attempt to offer the best prices on Discogs to compensate for the ever-rising shipping costs.

Please contact me with any questions regarding shipping to your location. If the cost seems too high or my setups do not include your country, I will let you know what I can do to help get the item to you at the best possible price.

Shouldn't the German and English versions be shown as different releases?
Also, the cd release that compiles both English and German versions shouldn't be attached to either, or am I wrong??

L'albero del pane (The Bread Tree) is sung in Italian and not found on any other release. The rest of the album features English versions of songs previously recorded with Italian vocals from their 1st and 3rd LPs. The last track is an instrumental.... See full review

Back cover originally included image of a British explorer by name of Snell in a pith helmet. Snell sued to have his image removed and subsequent releases have been altered (no Snell, no pith helmet).

https://www.discogs.com/release/870257-Gandalf-Gandalf is a legitimate release. Lacquer cut by David Cheppa at Better Quality Sound as evidenced in deadwax. Likely identical to blue vinyl version in every other way which is considered official so... See full review

Besides the track Second Nature, all of these songs appeared on the UK version of the LP or on EPs and singles compiled for the North American market. This probably should be listed as a compilation.

David Cheppa does a masterful (no pun intended) job on this one. My copy is perfectly flat and has only minimal surface noise which is acceptable at this price point. If you don't want to spend an arm and a leg, a clean copy of this is a good way to... See full review

The mastering is wonderful, BC96 must have a bad copy. Great 'air', very open sound and fabulous dynamics. Also, back in the day I had the cover on my wall as it was florescent and glowed under the black light.

Does the Scorpio have DC BQS in the deadwax? That would indicate David Cheppa cut the lacquer. His work is consistently good. Check out his work on the Atlantic titles of Ornette and Roland Kirk. Underappreciated and therefore a great value.

Not sure which specific titles had issues, but the Blue Note releases are stellar. Also, every classical title I've heard is top-notch. Both 180 and 200 gram releases are as good as it gets.
