A good album, definitely. Bear in mind there will never be another 'Wormhole', Its strength was its stark, cold simplicity insofar as minimal sci-fi atmosphere goes, (and I certainly don't mean production-wise). So comparisons aside this LP stands its ... See full review

I couldn't agree more. There've been recent murmerings about a possible VV2, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for this particular monster's inclusion, once Grooverider decides to check his loft for a box of long lost dats. No one has ever come close to ... See full review

Oleg Cholovskii, aka Paimon is really one to watch. Hailing from Ukraine, he's been busy making his mark on the neurofunk scene with some very impressive tracks comprising slick breaks and tidy beats with some of the most antisocial morphing basslines ... See full review

This is a great album of turn-of-the-century darkside drum 'n' bass from one of the most well-known collectives in the history of the sound. For those who aren't familiar with their work, the re-issued first cd is a great place to start, with such ... See full review

A fine album of dark, rolling, minimal style which, while not sonically varied enough to hold the attention of some, further cements the label's patent mastery of this edgy, techy sound and sets the standard within this particular genre of drum n bass.

This tune was Twisted's reaction to Distorted Minds' T minus 10, which seemed to bite his style a little, it also sparked an amusing, yet quite enjoyable reaction from John B in the shape of Blandwagon Poos. Bandwagon Blues was a great track upon it's ... See full review

A very impressive slight shift in style is what's on offer here from these newly established heroes of the dark, techy sound from my home town of Maidstone. These two tracks are sublime. The Yearning is gorgeous, with it's mournful hook, great vocal ... See full review

I won't add to what's already been said of the A side, but draw attention to 'So confused'. This track is funky, soulful, laidback, and funky some more and just makes me want to get up and dance whenever I hear it. I feel 'Return of forever' overshadows ... See full review

What a great release from the Hardware camp. This was the first Raiden tune I heard and my god, what a debut. This track, apart from having the ability to work the dancefloor, is charged with an emotional intelligence often devoid in similar tracks. The ... See full review

This is, for me, aside from volume 5, the strongest release in this series from Renegade Hardware. I was just beginning to tire of the label's overuse of the tired old mentasm and I shunned the label a little. With this ep, however, I was very impressed. ... See full review

Wow, what a beautifully melancholic piece of drum n bass...'She gives me forever' is a gorgeous, string-laden jewel of a tune complete with catchy Ragga vox and an infectious low end. I first heard this track a couple of years ago on Bailey's 1xtra show ... See full review

This ep is one of the most cherished in my collection. Each track here is pleasingly different to the other and showcases Torgeir Byrknes's admiration of David lynch's Twin Peaks and the cult series' score.
Teebee is in my opinion a genius and I buy ... See full review

Fierce and the highly underrated C4C crew combine together on this twelve with disgusting results. The wonderfully crafted modulated midrange on 'Bermuda' rides over C4C's trademark rat-a-tat beats to great effect, whilst the minimal, dark rolling ... See full review

The title track on this e.p. alone is worth the money I paid for the whole four tracks. 'Monster' is a blinding slice of chopped up, darkside drum n bass with an infectious, grinding bassline I still haven't tired of, B movie samples and eerie ... See full review

This is perhaps my favourite NOFX album so far. From the first track to the last, this album pulls no punches and with tracks like 'All outta angst', 'Champs Elysees' 'Falling in love' and the superb instrumental, Flossing a dead horse' gracing the ... See full review

This album originally seduced my otherwise jaded musical sensibilities when I first heard Millenium's cold, haunting, post apocalyptic hook whilst shopping in a large music vending chain in Exeter, eight years ago. I immediately asked the bloke behind ... See full review
