James Hardge bought the master tapes off Doug Carn not knowing Doug Carn had Given access to the Black Jazz catalogue too Soul Jazz Records.
Doug Carn created the confusion by not informing both parties.

My Inner City copy has serious surface damage from the pressing plant that effects the sound which is very distorted and distracting.

Strata East do not own the master tapes, they are owned by the artists themselves who paid for the studio session.
The Dolphy series and Clifford Jordan's albums are owned by the Clifford Jordan estate.
