Somebody really lucked out with that $5 copy! Love a good Discogs bargain bin success story.
posted a comment on Bitch (17) - Love Is Just A Crime. 1 day ago
Best guess is because it was co-produced by Rogerio Azcárraga Jr who was involved in other Orfeon releases. The Azcárraga family is known for being a wealthy publishing/media dynasty in Mexico (similar to the Hearsts). This kind of deepens the mystery... See full review

This is the new normal on Discogs. Every release with a publishing rights issue from 50 years ago is getting pulled from the marketplace, lol.

Add it to the database. This is a "user contributed" community.
posted a comment on White Noise - An Electric Storm. 29 days ago
Interesting take, I've found quite the opposite. It's been a personal favorite for 20+ years and I still manage to notice new bits every time I listen.
posted a comment on Various - Wisconsin's Best Rock Album '81. 29 days ago
It's all about Presence - Constrictor on this comp. Nasty hard rock with FAT hard-hitting funky drums and swirling psychedelic vocals. One of those "I can't believe this isn't a bigger deal" tracks.

It would have taken less keystrokes for you to make the edit yourself

Hard lol @ the lyrics on Melting the Ice. OG incelcore
posted a comment on Gene Bianco - Jazz. 4 months ago
Most of the Comprehensive Video Supply Corporation series is pretty snoozy, straightforward and frankly useless by today's standards but check out the A1 track "Countdown" on this release. Totally fried, psychotic jazz with dubbed out sound effects... See full review

That's awesome. Just got this recently and was wondering about the "Closet Phantom" credit! Great record, awesome story…seems like it was a lot of fun to work on.
posted a comment on Carlson Roberts - Sketches. 6 months ago
This one is almost weird enough to work. "Sketches (A1)" and "Trumpet Sketches (B5)" are the same track, but with trumpet instead of vocals on the latter. Kind of has a bittersweet, budget 10cc thing happening at times. Ambitious, but... See full review

Agree, great record all the way through. Excellent songwriting & programming!!
posted a review of Hobbit - Midyear's Eve. 9 months ago
I don't actively seek out '80s hard rock records, but the b-side track "Intensity" is an absolute earworm. Sounds best when you've listened to it 30 times in a row. Shame this never got a proper commercial release!

He's always been political, you just weren't paying enough attention

Can't believe this one is still so cheap! MUST-HAVE for anybody into big synths & big drums, regardless of genre.

Really beautiful, melodic & hypnotic ambient LP. Wish it was somehow longer!
posted a review of Rave Up (2) - Rave Up. about 1 year ago
Check out "Cirlces" from this LP...the only song on the record written by keyboard player Rick Guidotti, and probably the only track on the record that has withstood the test of time. Strangely sincere & beautiful, depending on your tolerance level... See full review

This is a pretty telling review. The album aged better than your opinion, lol

Incredible tune, JKriv working overtime on that bass guitar! Props to the Escort crew to contacting Fonda Rae and making this happen.

A replica test pressing that's not actually a test pressing? What in the fresh boomer hell is this utter nonsense? This is where we're at in 2019? Everybody buying this barnes & noble dreck please cash out immediately.

Grateful for this review. Just stumbled across this LP earlier today, absolutely blown away by the stereo vocal effects. They definitely knew what they were doing!

Pretty wild that there's not a single review of this masterpiece! "You" into "Look at California" is one of the greatest one-two punches on any record, regardless of genre. We're all fortunate that this can be found readily and cheaply...everyone needs a copy! See full review

Huge LOL at a €145.00 asking price. There's $20 copies on eBay at this very second.

This one's a boner, folks. Don't be tempted by the allure of "0 have/0 want"

Buyers beware! Do not be tempted by this bootleg, as it is of very poor quality. The audio is muffled and filled with surface noise. The label itself is merely a crude photocopy, which was then unevenly cut by hand. On the copy in my possession,... See full review

Why would it be debunking? Both of those samples are clearly credited in the liner notes to Human After All and Discovery, respectively.

What a record! Upon first glance, Carlotto appears to be a disciple of Charles Manson, complete with rugged beard and unkempt mane. After closer inspection, the fright of his serial killer façade melts away, leaving behind a tranquil and meditative... See full review
