The design is sick, but hard agree. Don't need that gross culture infiltrating jungle.

Thank you! I received my copy and yes, all tracks are unmixed.

Do all discs, all sides play at 33.3 RPM? I don’t want to assume…it doesn’t say anywhere.

It’s the 2007 one that keeps getting repressed. Same for all BC. They are probably reusing that mother over and over again to make new stampers.

You have the 2007 remaster.

Akasha System - Echo Earth

Misty, moody LP that I first found on a Flow State recommendation email. This is a wonderfully constructed house music album that doesn’t feel a whole lot like house. I have to think a lot of that credit should go to 100% Silk. This collection of... See full review

Beautiful guitar playing by Frisell, Riley, and Lage. Brilliant writing by John Zorn. I also love the CD and packaging design. 5/5

No reason to pass this version up if the price is right. 1987 wasn't exactly a great year for digital, but it sounds great on my system, especially for $10. The art booklet packaging is interesting. I have never seen another CD like this. No hard... See full review

I have played "Dive" at nearly every early/opening DJ set so far this year. But it has to be on the right soundsystem so the bass can translate. It is absolutely massive. The rest of the record is good for chiller moments and home listening.
Jam City - EFM

Would love a 12" or even a 7" of "Wild n Sweet" for DJing but something tells me that won't ever happen. What a jam. The standout on this collection.
DJ Deeon - The Freaks EP

One of DJ Deeon's best 12-inches? I think so. 100% freak mode across both sides. "Freak U Rite" might be my favorite. Critical record for the collection. Thank you DJ Godfather and DJ Deeon for this masterpiece. Rest in peace, Deeon.
Harry The Bastard

MentalBass said it. Harry brought top shelf deep house to a wider audience with his aggressive 3 compilation run 1999-2002 with the help of Strata Recordings. Harry (and David Micalizzi through his mixing on the CD releases) is likely responsible for... See full review

This digital remaster sounds very clean and lifeless. Digital anything in the '80s is an embarrassment. I'll have to keep an eye out for a vinyl copy.

Awesome record. “The Lower End Theory” is the standout, but all tracks are playable. Note the misprint track order on the center label.

My copy shipped in a dark green jacket.

This clip sounds like many other records I have on SRM. It sounds nice but not a must-have, and you get one track for $50 USD. I heard it was marked at $100 in the shop, or that could have been Edition 1. Regardless, a disappointing release. Pass.

Very well written and recorded, but this is just not my favorite kind of jazz. Too many strings, too much unison trombone…overall far too “orchestral” for my taste, if that is the proper term? Not laid back, not free. I’m sure some people would love... See full review

Funky album with the great Michael Brecker on tenor sax throughout. I’m getting some 80s Lyle x Pat vibes on some of the songs. Don’t let the price or weird record label fool you. This is top notch 80s contemporary jazz.

A monster pack of timeless ballads from a lineup of legends. This album is an 11/10. Very happy to have this vinyl reissue. I found it sealed at Amoeba (LA) last weekend for $20 while a second sealed copy was in the same bin for $40. Surely a mislabel... See full review
