The Heaven Remix is the best version of this track, it omits the 'Get Raw' sample & includes parts of the early Force Ten version but with a hard hitting amen break. However the second Ray Keith remix with the horns isnt as good as his first remix,... See full review

On the intro to B1 Danny Styles Bootleg Remix 1 there is audible background noise during the bassline parts, then goes clean on the hi-hats & drums like its been sampled. Also to a lesser extent on the bassline part of Bootleg Remix 2 Are these new... See full review

The 1991 original featuring the Qube mix (one of the best mixes) is quite expensive so this reissue is essential & most welcome.

These are not 'dub specials' as the title suggests, but dub versions that have been available on numerous compilations such as those by Blood & Fire. A great first time introduction to King Tubby if you do not have them, but don't expect any dub specials. See full review

The dub version on this reissue is the mix 'Declaration Of Dub' found on King Tubbys 'Dub From The Roots' & not the 'Dub Of Rights' version found on the original release.

The killer track for me being into Jungle can only be 'South London Nights' by Nebula. As you would expect, hard hitting chopped amens, a punching bassline with melodic pads laid over the top to shape the tune. Whereas 'Midnight Star' by Reactive is... See full review

Not a true discomix, ie, the track does not mix into the dub version. Whereas the 2004 release contained both the vocal & version.

Perhaps Johnny Clarkes best album helped in no small part by a handful of classic roots covers from Burning Spear & The Abyssinians. Its certainly one his most conscious as he mainly focuses on strictly rasta themes, where his other albums often... See full review

More of a disco influence on this compared to the stripped down 80s synth boogie / streetsoul sound of their other tracks. This was quite popular on the Modern Soul scene before this recent revival interest in streetsoul came about.

I dont think this reissue from the mid 2000s was issued with a picture sleeve? rather it only came in a plain generic cover.

Prime Ragga Twins / SUAD productions. Just a pity it misses Lamborghini, The Killing, Hooligan 69 (Original), Wipe The Needle (Remix), Mixed Truth & Java Bass.

I think they have messed up the labels, 'Its Your Love' is on side A while 'I Know You Care' is on side B.

Its all about the Blacksmith mix on this single, a nice chilled out Hip Hop backbeat with a melodic hook & pads to accompany the chorus. Possibly their best remix. The Brothers Grant mix comes in second, again in a Hip Hop mix style & heavy bassline... See full review

Forget this one. The Capsule EP has just been repressed complete with Futuroid. Mark Ranger tells me that its sourced from DAT & CD. So the quality should be much better than on this.

I have an original & welcome reissues, not only can they sound better if remastered from DAT (maybe not in this case), but it also puts money back into the artists pocket & not just the scalpers on here.

Unfortunately they only included the Accustic mixes & not the Club mixes, instead replacing them with modern reworks. Something of a disappointment when reissue labels mess with the format.

As mentioned below a previously unreleased dub to a track taken from the Horace Andy album 'Sings For I & I". Just a pity the pressing isnt that good with some repeated static noise on the version.

They did reissue 'No Stopping' as part of a four track rarities compilation. So they could reissue this. (Update) ive put in the call & its being done. 👍

Classic mid 90s LTJ Bukem / Good Looking flava on "Past, Present, Future" with its atmospheric pads over a rolling break. Simple but effective. Whereas the flip by Justice & Enjoy "Re-Construct (Amen V.I.P.)" still keeps with the dreamy pads & melody... See full review
