I've only ever skipped through the first disk, it is your typical run-of-the-mill cheesy hard house tunes that's guaranteed to get any cyber-kid chomping on their dummies.
The second disk is much more the real thing, the kind of hard dance tunes that ... See full review

For every 50 or so hard trance/hard dance tunes released, only one or two tracks have any intelligence or emotion.
And then there is this piece of work. Words fail me. Each time I hear this brilliantly crafted tune the hairs on my nape stand on end. ... See full review

The first half of this mix is by Paul Maddox - not my bag really as it just seems to be all about boshing, but the mix really picks up when Tom Harding kicks in with a fine mix of tough house, the only let down in Tom's mix is the last track.

Yet another quality recording from Mark Dogget, although a shame that 11 great tracks only weigh in at just over an hour.
Stand-out tracks are Red Snapper and Deliverance, both of which appear on Disk 2 of the first Frantic compilation.

What a top cd this is! Unfortunately Disk 1 doesn't do it for me with only a few stand out tracks where I'm concerned.
The second disk on the other hand is a damn good mix of tough house and driving trance with some blinding tracks such as '1000 Miles ... See full review

At last Mr Doe releases what I feel is some of his best work (the fantastic 'D' label) on cd, and what it lacks in packaging (who needs all those notes anyway??) it certainly makes up for in musical content.
With a mixture of uplifting riffs to dark ... See full review

Have to agree with Blinkdeejay, this is a fantastic freebie, Nukleuz have consistantly served up quality tune after quality tune as well as many great parties around London.

The trace mix of this track has a real 'floaty' feeling to it, very different from the original mix put out on the 'Tasty' double cd.
Likewise, the AA side is also very different with manic keyboard stabs jarring throughout the production.
Two very ... See full review

This is Jon Doe's unmistakable take on the M Experience's classic 'Rock Ya Body' track which found itself on a few compilation cds.
His clean sound can be heard throughout this track which bounds along at a great pace - nice and bouncy to keep and ... See full review

What an excellent collection this is. I bought this when I was living in Holland for a mere 35 Guilders (back in the day before Euros came along). Dark Train, taken from the Trainspotting soundtrack is Underworld at their best, smooth, melodic, dark and ... See full review

A fantastic ambient excursion into otherwordliness, from the innocenct yet somehow manacing opening track through to the delicious percussive Novelty Waves, a track made 'famous' by Levis. A benchmark album for the post-clubber.

At the time I first heard this, I was heavily into stuff like The Cure and Guns 'n Roses. It totally blew me away. Featuring spoken samples from films like 'Predator' and musical samples from Peter Gabriel's Passion, this cd is one of the few musical ... See full review
