Indeed, the regular editions of the album shall be classified as purely Contemporary Jazz. I just went ahead and corrected all releases (btw, anybody could do just that). And indeed, the deluxe version contains remixes, so Trip-Hop and Future Jazz...

Finally my own copy arrived. First I was about to rejoice - as both the mastering and the overall pressing are great (flat and quiet, as findog3103 has mentioned above). Until the needle has met a few small scratches which look like tiny hairs...

I presume it should have been the artist's idea to release it in a super-limited edition, and I ought to respect that decision... But it's hard when the music is this good. So part of me screams - it's a crime against humanity :) Repress! Repress!!...

Apparently, the gold one is not. I mean, the pressing could have been good as it sounded ok initially, but just after a few listens my gold copy started crackling all over (cleaning doesn't help). My guess is that the (uncarbonized) PVC is very weak.

I wonder if it is the quality of the golden vinyl used for this pressing, but my copy started crackling heavily all the way through after just a few spins, and no repeated attempts to clean it with proffesional-grade ultrasonic washing machine could...

Just received a replacement from HHV - absolutely identical crackles on the same track 2, now even more pronounced. Anyone else having the same issues?

Hmm, weird, my copy seems dead quiet overall... except for three small blemishes/crackles on track 2, some neglgiible, others more obvious. Not sure it's eligible for a replacement, though still too bad you pay 20 quid for a fresh copy which is not ideal.

OMG how good is this. Both the concept and the execution. I don't have the book, only the LP - but loving it to the max. Quality pressing, excellent mastering, out of this world music - can't ask for more anyway.

Seems like a (bad) trend. Also got crappy bitrates, like 192, coming recently with some vinyl. Utterly ridiculous. Is this to make us reminisce about 1996 or what?

MPO press seems to be terrible quality. I'm returning the second copy already. Both had similar artifacts: continuous rustle in the right channel on a few first tracks on Side A, especially obvious throughout Ascension. Plus excentricity.
