A very much mediocre selection of indie tracks from the late 2000s. A good insight to what "indie rock" was like at the time. Good for padding out a collection or if you want to find some new stuff on the cheap.

If someone asked what does middle the road road Beatles inspired 70s rock sound like i'd show them this. Nothing here that I enjoy too much really, the odd good track but mostly forgettable.

If you've ever been to any garden centre across England you have probably seen or heard music from the Global Journey catalogue. For years (and even in 2020) Global Journey are known for providing those slightly weird interactive audio displays where...

This is a really strange release. The spines are blank and the tracklisting just mentions the various artists with no track listing. The cardboard fold out "booklet" contains the tracklisting. You would then think that you would get entire songs, but...

As it very common with these budget 5 CD releases, this compilation contains a lot of tracks you know and enjoy and a lot of tracks that are a bit naff really. I guess if you were wanting to start a collection then this might be worthwhile, but to any...

All the tracks here are perfectly servicable but all fall into the camp of religious (Christian) hyms or music, don't let the big star names fool you! If you like that kind of thing then this is probably great, but for me it is not my cuppa tea!

Probably one of the weaker newspaper freebie CD's that plague this nation. Contains a selection of ultimately forgettable tracks from rather popular artists of the age.

I picked this up at a very reasonable price, as I often find for anything Country related in the UK, as I have been on a bit of a Country kick recently. This compilation is really great, a nice mix of artists (a lot of big names) and the recordings...

A rather pleasant mix of English folk songs, worth a listen if that's your jam

A really fantastic country/bluegrass album from an independent artist. Unfortunately Dave has since passed, however his legacy lives on with this music. I highly recommend picking it up as his musicanship is fantastic and the album makes for lovely listening!

Picked this up today. I'm always wary of these country compilations as sometimes the audio included within can be terrible transfers from wobbly old tapes or scuffed up records. However this 28 track release has fantastic high fidelity audio, so don't...

This is one of those CD's that seems to be in every single charity shop and boot sale across the UK. No surprise considering it was included with an issue of the popular Glamour magazine.... shame the conent of the CD is so poor.

My copy has great sound - picked it up sealed the other day from HMV! Beautiful record one of my favourites.

I am honestly a good 10/11 years too late for writing this review for it to count for anything.
I recall having the title track here, Made Up Stores, on my iPod back in 2008 and how happy it sat between all of the other pop-punk that I enjoyed at the... See full review |
