overrated. it's only a bunch of loops. . . .

If anyone is willing to sell for a reasonable price, please put it up for sale!

This is Superior Elevation. They changed their name to Silk Green and released this in 1989.
The vocals are a bit nasal and aren't the best at some times, especially some times on "Sassy Lady." The instruments make up for them, though. "You Got... See full review |

very overrated. it seems like YouTube's recommended section is at work again...

Somehow this group got the spot for the first "The Controllers" on Discogs before The Controllers (2) did.

JSR Records, the home of records selling at more than $100.

fair enough. I just think it's overrated and very repetitive.

probably circa '89 according to the united states copyright office.
|
I don't think that's very absurd for a "rare mispress," but maybe it is...

It is indeed Freddie Jackson. It is indeed Freddie Jackson.

several members from Workshy are credited here. maybe this was their first project before that?
|

you should add it! it's not in the database as far as I know. the commercial 7" is needed for completion, too.
|
I missed it. How much was it? Probably a self-bought album most likely (a copy sold and bought by the same person).

"Can I" is the one. "Don't Fight The Feeling" is a close second, in my opinion. The others are nice as well.

This group evolved into General Caine in 1978, then into General Kane in 1986. A great and underrated 7", as well.

The movie "The Social Network" starring Jesse Eisenberg uses this song around 1 hour and 18 minutes in. Nice boogie / funk, though; I don't blame the production crew one bit.

Good one, haha. I sometimes see records like this, maybe a lot, actually.

I guess if there can be slow disco, there can be slow house, but to each their own. I just thought it was house.

"moonwalk": nice, instrumental electro-boogie
"video sensation": nice, electro, pop-rock-feel the others are pretty nice and cool too |

The "C.C. Ryder" who co-wrote both songs on this 7", seemingly went on to create this masterpiece: C.C. & Co. - When.

it has an alright boogie beat, but it's a bit boring, in my opinion
very repetitive and overrated, thus: ★★★☆☆ |

The Revivalist Mix is one of the best house songs I've heard. So emotional.

every song grew on me like moss on a rock

sick, now THIS record has its prices blown up out of proportion. I was really hoping it wouldn't happen, but I expected it. I remember when this was around $40 or $50.

I'm really hoping I didn't pass this original up in a record store last year...
It had to be a bootleg... It had to be a bootleg... It had to be a bootleg... It had to be a bootleg... I can't stand my bad memory. I can't even remember if it was an... See full review |

Is it really that strange to see more than, at the time, 60 people? How many OGs were pressed?

Who is the man behind the voice on this track?

One of the best electronic albums I've ever heard and or owned. Very calming and emotional, in my opinion.

Thank you so much. At least ten words must be entered.

127 haves and 3 for sale. And it's still under $500. An amazing funk 7", but I doubt it's that rare.

I agree. This may be on vinyl, as well as not submitted yet.

The Club Version is one of the best house songs I've heard so far. Very emotional and uptempo.

1. Can You Feel It
2. Beyond The Clouds 3. Washing Machine |

Yeah, I agree, they are a bit too high and noisy. That's my only problem with it. Otherwise, all songs are amazing.

Cheesy and overplayed. At least 10 words must be entered.

Possibly the best boogie-funk record I've heard so far and will ever hear, with great lead vocals by Rick Alexander. I'd love to know much more about this group and if they ever made more songs other than the other 7" they made.

In their Chicago Tribune interview, they say they plan "to release a nine-song CD" called "King Of London."
This seems to be it here: https://www.amazon.com/King-London-Big-Bash/dp/B000KHME34 |
