The packaging of this looks pretty but is destructive. Every time you take the discs out of their pockets, they get more scratched.

Do you play it at 33 or 45rpm? I actually like both, at 33rpm it sounds deephouse-ish, dubby and kind of oldschool, at 45rpm it has a more virtual/hyperrealistic vibe with fast bubbly rhythms.

Yeah, it's kind of wild. I like it! I'm goofing around with my old 626 sometimes. It's sort of like a dollar store combo of 707 and 727, has a bit similar sounds (purists might say I'm wrong here but I think it's close enough), quite a nice sequencer,... See full review

Your review just made me order this record for 1€. I've kind of a soft spot for annoying music.

In 1993 he wouldn't imagine that somebody will build a digital archive of all records ever published and link them to each other, so he probably thought he'd just get away with it. :)

Does anybody have a clue if this is supposed to be played at 33 or 45 rpm? Actually it sounds as good or weird in both tempos. I didn't find any specification on record or sleeve.

Track 5 seems to be an excerpt of "Bis Die Blaue Blume Blüht" of "Grün" from 1981. Anyway, cool collection, focussing on the repetitive side of Schnitzler.

Who else on this planet will turn popular music into Polka tunes?

Eläkeläiset could be interesting for you. They call it "Humpa" instead of "Polka" but it's pretty much the same.

While listening also Pink Floyd and theremin-driven science fiction movie scores came to my mind. The music here is just to dynamic to be real ambient. The ufo on the cover says it all: It's a space opera (with kind of a prog rock feel, but without... See full review

You also could understand the phrase "on the corner" musically. The music is placed on the corner where jazz and funk meet, free improvisation and repeated riffs, virtuosity and childish noise making, solo playing and group playing. And like a street... See full review
