Invisible fields. A perfect title for this. Sometimes quirky sometimes majestic. Like a trip into the near future of human beings trying to exist with mindblowing technology. Do our souls get lost in the process?

Thrilling soaring laid back jazzy ambient groove chill for the mind and body. Very nice for driving on a cool night or lazy day. This is one of Spyra's best.

Yes there is. On the spine of CD and on the CD itself. It's just in quotes on the front cover.

Exactly! Annoying and it ruins the track Hymn. Dreamfish 2 is much better album with no annoying samples.

This is a great drone album in the vein of Mathias Grassow, Klaus Wiese and David Parsons, minus the percussion. Deep without being dark or oppressive. Fans of outer space themes will love it.

Is the music the same on the first two discs as the original release? If so then why is it a bad edition?
posted a comment on Jaja (3) - Starfields. 3 months ago
Good space music but like her other productions suffers from being mastered with extreme low volume. So much so you have to listen on headphones in an extremely quiet environment. And even then it's difficult to hear!

The flimsy jewel box for this release was so cheap I had to throw it away and store the discs and artwork in a resealable plastic bag.

Pay no attention to the other rating given to this album. This is an excellent solo album by Anka Wolbert, co founder of the legendary Clan of Xymox. She was a pivotal member before she and Pieter Nooten jumped ship and left Moorings to continue by ... See full review

Excellent dark tribal ambient. This album could be a companion to his 1999 UFO/alien themed masterpiece What Do You Suppose. Thick echoing didgeridoo drones, spooky ambience, choral voices and light percussive elements create a serenely transfixing ... See full review

Storey goes back to his tribal ambient classic period of the 90s for this release. Powerful stuff and one of his best works in years. No oddball weirdness here, just psychoactive spiritual dreamscapes.

These discs are not labeled which is which nor are the tracks indexed. Very frustrating.

The definitive version of this album (and the best Church album IMO). Excellent remastering, all the extra tracks, and Marty Willson-Piper's fantastic liner notes. If you can find one, buy it!

The remastering on this album is amazing. That, coupled with excellent b-sides and remixes, make this a must purchase for all Xymox/Clan of Xymox fans.

No, actually during the early years of Fax some of the CD's did not indicate limitation on the back insert. And no, almost all were not limited to 1,000. Many were 500. There were many "straight up" (?) releases that were 2000 copies as well.

Stronger songs and more focused than the first album. A must for all fans of the shoegaze genre. Some really inspired fuzzy yet ethereal guitar here, while Tamaryns voice seduces with a druggy vibe. This album is full of substance and soul as well as ... See full review

Well worth it for the BBC sessions if you have everything else. Mastering is loud and rightfully so. This is a band to crank up. The book is beautifully designed and liners are fascinating. A treat for all big fans of this great band.

I agree. Great album. However, the two musicians are Dutch and Canadian, not British
If you like this check out Medusa by Clan of Xymox and the early solo albums by Michael Brook.

Beautiful music. Closest thing he's done to Substrata. Mostly peaceful highly atmospheric tracks with excellent production. This could be my favorite Biosphere to date.

Is it just me or is this a horrible remaster job? It's like they just turned up the volume and forgot to enhance the bass which is what the recording needed. Sounds very bright and harsh to my ears.

Track 7 is awesome! This album is pure cosmic beauty. Nice nod to Vangelis. You can tell he is an influence.

Is this a bootleg of a bootleg? Smokin Pig label released CD, not CDR. I can't find any evidence online for this album existing. Is it a trick of the light?

This is the best CD version of this masterpiece. Unlike the other releases, whole album is on one CD and includes full lyrics, plus both pink and blue borders versions on the cover art. However, the album is NOT remastered as this listing indicates.
