Well..... its better than my olde UK which is quite worn tbf. But.....

The Steven Wilson remix is arguably better (pls dont kill me lol).
He has bought balance to the original mixes which are bass shy, drummer recessed and skeletal of tonality. ... See full review
Isaac Hayes - Greatest Hit Singles

Flat, centered and silent. Jacket is threadbare thin and cheap. Selection of tracks is great but the shortened lengths are jarring. Walk on By is funny. Like the needle just did a big inaudible skip. The sound quality naturally varies from track... See full review

Nice sum up and pretty on point. I would point out the OJC is alot louder cut and has a degree of compression but not unlistenably so and its also got a bass boost over the AP. The AP is wonderfully natural but cut so low the vinyl has to be perfect.

Very very happy with this latest Optimal repress. My older copy was badly non filled and noisy with it but this one is nigh silent throughout and sounds really good to boot. Even my most basic VM95C cart sails through it with good sound and barely... See full review

Weird. Disc one sounds amazing. Disc two and side 3 it all goes weird. She Watch Channel Zero sounds like someone is constantly moving the volume dial up and down. So does Night of the Living Baseheads. The issue then starts to subside as it gets... See full review

Mostly excellent. You can hear the minor tape drops and while this will have a digital step theres no doubt OJC have used a tape to create the master. The tape theyve used would also seem to be in great shape as this truly sounds lovely. The GZ... See full review

Three copies tried from different UK retailers and all heat warped to varying degrees. Ive kept the flattest but the arm is still quite bouncy! Thankfully it plays quite true and very quiet and the sound of this fine recording breathes.

Matt Luthens, KPG protege in the runouts.
Decent sound quality but crappy pressing like all the newer Sundazed stuff. Seriously warped and noisy vinyl unfit for sale quite frankly, especially at such premium prices

The AP has better packaging. This has much better sound. Both the 2011 OJC Cookin and Relaxin beat their AP counterparts. More life, more verve and less tape anomolies. Its surprisingly not even close. If those 2011 OJC were packaged ala the AP... See full review

DEFINITIVE!

To be fair, the AP33 cut had - for me - already become the best ive heard this and subsequently had rendered the Mofi 45rpm inferior, but this adds a layer of dynamics and clarity over the 33 that simply makes it even more definitive. At... See full review

No complaints from me. Good job done by Optimal plant (not a given by any means) and a quiet and flat record. Sounds decent enough with it. The more i listen to this album the more i think its up with some of 2Pacs best work, yet it goes far less noticed. See full review

A very good pressing imho. In my instance, this is flatter and quieter than the 2014 black vinyl edition ive also got and on which this is based. The sound is the same on each copy without doubt. It definately sounds better than the CD ive got once... See full review

My expectations were low for this but its a good'un.

A mixture of fake stereo and mono with track 5, 10, 11 and 12 in mono and the rest in hard panned early stereo. Search the Juno UK audio samples to confirm with your own ears!

This coloured edition matches the excellent black copy. Theres a little... See full review

I see the guys 3 copies below and raise him 2!

FIFTH TIME LUCKY!! All manner of pressing defects with the first 4 and the 5th comes good... finally flat, centered and non fill free which the previous 4 failed to acheive.

Smokes.... and i genuinely mean SMOKES my old UK cut and the Music On Vinyl editions.

Consider this edition the one to rule them all from packaging to pressing to sound.

Ive done my A/B for you and detailed it. My advice is if the Pure Pleasure can be found at sane price it will do the job nicely and comes better packaged BUT if money is no object the ORG just has the edge on soundstage air/expanse, clarity and that... See full review

Delicious sounding press vs the Fat Possum attempt. So much clearer in the mastering and so much quieter in the grooves (Pallas!). The caveat is you hear more of the tape but the payoff is you get to hear the music properly. Pure listening Pleasure indeed!! See full review

Got lucky with mine, but then RTI usually does excellent vinyl.

What IS truly spectacular is the mastering. THREE DIMENSIONALITY.

This is why vinyl and good mastering done right still remains the best place to enjoy music

Alot of light crackling on this pressing on all 4 sides. No non fills or pops or anything amiss from obvious defects, jist seems as if a crappy compound ended up in the press.

I have the 2021 issue and i bought this for a backup as the 2021 is superb alround.
