I own a copy on swirled colored (grey/white) vinyl. Anyone else?

Jeez Louise, what ridiculous prices these are going for. Literally a year or two ago NO ONE cared about this record. Must be a case of the current, trendy breakbeat revival in the underground house/techno scene...

i play it at 45. and for the record, the tune has grown on me significantly.

The first Karl Zeiss ep is way better. He's the strongest artist in this label.

if "it would sound half as good without" the tape hiss then it is simply not substantially good! if poor sound quality= actual quality to the listener, then I believe that the listener's standards are very low. in many cases, I've found producers who ... See full review

I feel like this one is going under some radars. Metro Area's mix is excellent and a little unusual for them in that it is very straightforward yet underground. The Gari Romalis track on the flip on is up to his typical standard, which is bumping, ... See full review

Wonderful dj-tool for fans of early LFO who can't bring themselves to play the originals, which might not work on every modern dancefloor. I find the B-side to work magic particularly when transitioning from electro to techno or vice-versa.

Slightly quiet pressing, but fine tracks that would fit into house, techno, minimal or tech house sets.

Timeless, deep and relentless. Some of the best Heiko Laux stuff, imo.

I agree. Usually his electro tracks seem rudimentary or unfinished, dj tools. This one features solid tracks that stand on their own.

Reminds me of the type of trax Neil Landstrumm was doing around the same period or a little earlier. Great, mental, banging stuff..

both my copies sound crackly and off. Muddy mix, too. Wish this wasn't the case, because the tracks sound like they'd be good if I could hear them correctly..

mine's a bit quieter than would be ideal, but not crackly.

Great disc. The orig mix is fabulous, with my only gripe (and it's minor) being that the keyboard solo sounds a little out of place, in my opinion. HVL's mix is a gem in itself too..

This has all the signature bells and whistles of the great heavy Hawtin trax of the early/mid-90s. It's like a "best-of" track! It's undeniably dope, though. It sounds like a big dark roomful of ravers just going off at peak time.

DJ Pierre wins hands down with his signature minimal acid style, the Posthuman track is a good mid-tempo slow-burner, Hardfloor offer the densest, funkiest cut which is also quite good. The Luke Vibert one isn't really my cup of tea, where the bassline ... See full review

Besides the weird recording/pressing flaw (see below), this is some of the best AWM output. All the tracks have some nice weight and energy to them for the dancefloor.

Nothing too groundbreaking on this ep, but it's all done well enough, and the mastering and pressing are really on point. The standout track, "Space Sequence" would rock a big system quite nicely.

A lot of the youngsters are on this "lo-fi" kick. I can dig some of it, but usually it's just a gimmick. Put some tape-hiss in there and make everything sound "ghetto" and voila, you're "keepin' it real." It's reminiscent of trust fund hipsters who wear ... See full review
