It's a "rewind from the start of track 1" hidden track. CDs can have negative time ("pregap") for intros or silence between tracks, but when you switch to a specific track it skips the pregap and goes straight to the zero point of the track. Starting... See full review

To be clear the full CD version was exactly 1 hour. So 3 sides are enough. Assuming 2 tracks per side, side A will be 22:16, side B will be 20:15, and side C will be 17:29. Side D has an etching of the fern patterns from the cover.

I feel like you're getting ripped off no matter who you buy this from. Just get the 3 albums, you don't need a summarized version.

Maybe the production will be better on the physical release next year. Mind you I think that will be vinyl-only so it will be worse sound quality.

Then maybe he should've let someone else buy it instead of scalping it?

Interesting "info" at the roughtrade link. They claim Maynard is a FORMER memeber of Tool and A Perfect Circle and that Puscifer have been around since 1995. The second fact could be true but I'm sure the first one isn't and it makes me doubt the... See full review

Keep telling yourself that. There's a reason CD exists. Believe it or not a medium created in the 1980s is better sound quality than one created in the 1890s.

Unless you're specifically into first prints there's no reason to get this instead of the reprint that has both albums (all 4 songs). Yes it's available in 2xLP as well.

Let's leave labels out of it: PT are a band plain and simple. I don't know what the word "rock" could possibly mean when speaking of music...

Which means the new material ends and the reprint material starts halfway through a record. Always makes me sad when people ruin sets like this just to make a 4LP fit onto 3LPs.

I think you mean Garage Days Re-Revisited. It's an ep (the second garage days release) and is also included on the 3rd garage days release as the start of disc 2 (then the two songs from the first Garage Days is after it, so not a very well thought... See full review

Remember "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was also around for half a year before becoming famous. It was the music video that made them famous and the video wasn't made on album release.

It skips Mirrorball btw (the album Neil Young did with Pearl Jam as his backing band instead of Crazy Horse). It goes just before No Code and is the reason they write the occasional Neil Young style song on No Code and Yield.

How sure are you that it's not a bootleg repress? Past 4 years those have been getting real common (I don't mean for Air Liquide specifically, I mean in general).
Mind you it's worth it even if it is a bootleg.

Always weird when they put the albums the wrong way around in collections like this. "Here's albums 2 and 1." I know it's because the 2nd album was the current one at the time but it still feels wrong.

Wow what a shit package. Why exactly would anyone want to pay scalpers hundreds for this rather than burning a CDr of it?
Here's hoping they finally release this stuff to the general public. I doubt they ever will though. This is intentional bootlegger-fodder. See full review

There is no non-counterfeit vinyl version of this album. It's a CD and digital exclusive (so far).

Only if it's on a CD-90, which isn't compatible with most CD players outside of Japan. Or maybe the CD has the 7 song version and the CD-Rom portion has the mp3s. Or maybe the tracklist is just a misprint.

That's what you get for buying a counterfeit. Just be glad it fits onto a turntable, Pucifer's Moneyshot didn't and it was an official release.

I wonder if counterfeits have the tv installed? Only reason I haven't bought a physical copy is that stupid TV making the price 75 bucks.

To be clear on how this problem works: if a release isn't marked as an album, ep, or single it gets put into misc if the run-time is short enough to be an EP. If it's long enough to be an album discogs AUTOMATICALLY puts it in the album section. It's... See full review

Isn't that down to how heavy your tonearm is weighted? Light ones can't stand bassy passages. But ones that are too heavy are damaging the record quicker.
