They'll just use a different catalogue number system after that. If Rephlex can have a release numbered Dog ### instead of Cat ### then CPU can have a release numbered with As and Bs instead of zeros and ones. (not that Rephlex ran out of numbers,...

Pity about the mangled cover on the CD. The overlays are supposed to be to the left and right of the cover image (which only uses the middle 3rd of the space). On the CD version someone just crapped them down everywhere, covering the cover. The cover...

For anyone interested in the ep "Desktop Robotics + Feelings On A Screen 25th Anniversary"...it's not. Despite the name and marketing it only has 2 songs from Desktop Robotics (which has 8 originally) and 1 song from Feelings On A Screen (which has 4...

If he ever does do them on CD I hope he compiles a few EPs at a time. Like each compilation being what will fit on 1CD (so 3-4 eps/mini-albums at a time).

It's not the whole EP. It's missing track 2.
Plus track 4 has been moved to track 2 and there's an entirely new track 4. |

They were released digitally in 2009, but those disappeared when Rephlex Records was disbanded in 2014. That's the source of the 80 minutes of bonus tracks.

"Complaining about music is like dancing to architecture"

Even worse, writing about music is like trying to dance to Autechre!

As someone commented on another Burial release, "my CD has a lot of surface noise"

Whatever that was supposed to link to has been changed. It now just says "this would make a great EP".
What was the original answer? EDIT: never mind I got my answer: "Disc 3 Track 07 aired on Rare Frequency, WZBC 90.3 FM on July 23, 2009. Originally... See full review |

Someone else complained that their side B was pressed with incredibly shallow grooves, causing needle skating.

Just so you understand, live albums go in the albums section. The staff has categorically refused to make a live section (quoting "slippery slope" problems because some live albums tack a studio song or two on the end of the album, eg Dokken or...

Glad to see people have decided to give this (the seven 2020 releases) it's own listing instead of smushing it in with the first AE_Live series (the nine 2015 releases) like they did with the second AE_Live series (the twenty-two 2019 releases). At...

I'm pretty sure Corgan's not allowed to re-release Machina II. He tried to a few years back and the record company that refused to let Machina be a double album pointed out that the Machina II songs are owned by them. Those songs are just the ones cut...

"the first new original music that they have recorded together as a band since 1994"
Really had to think about that one to make sense of it. The 2014 album doesn't count because the keyboardist was dead and they were using any leftover 1994 recording... See full review |

1992 was the year the loudness wars started. All CDs from that point on were 50% louder. Previously they were the same volume as tapes and records.
It actually started partway through the year, so some CDs from that year have it and some don't. |

Pity this only has the first disc of Time Machine and skips the Dreaming #11 ep. Otherwise it would be a pretty good set.

Something minor to keep in mind: the track order is different on the CD. "Run Nancy" has been moved from the 3rd to last track to the final track. I'm one of those (increasingly rare) people who cares what the opening and closing songs are. Also "Evil...

Good idea. You're not supposed to leave shrink wrap on records, it can damage them after a decade or more. The shrink wrap continues to shrink over the years (by a very slight amount, which is why it takes decades for it to be a problem).
Edit:... See full review |

"Forever" is the correct name for "Center of Eternity". No idea why it's renamed in some countries (USA included).
The original English version of the album (actually European edition) has Spiders as the closing song and doesn't have Slow Down.... See full review |

For those saying the vinyl version could've been 1LP...I kind of agree with you but it is over even the original default max per side.
When the Long Play format was first introduced the maximum amount of music per side was 24 minutes. That's a soft... See full review |

If you're looking for the vinyl you're looking in the wrong section (the band name is just Devin Townsend on the multi-album compilations, the only place a vinyl of Deconstruction and Ghost exist).
Here's the link to Eras I (which has the 4 album... See full review |

Glad to finally hear WHY they picked a random 4 of the 7 Basscadep tracks. I always wondered why it wasn't the 4 format-independent tracks instead of 2 of those, 1 vinyl exclusive and 1 cd exclusive.

Just noticed that the essay added in the 2008 remaster claims the original release date was Feb 12th 1992. The current release date we have for the 1st printing is Nov 13th 1992 (based on R&S's bandcamp site listing that as the original release...

Took care of the Cuban music mix under compilations. The front and back covers not having any artist name was enough to be sure of the edit.

The odd thing is that adding an R to the end of the vinyl's catalog number usually means it's the accompanying remix album/ep, but in this case both are remix EPs (all 5 songs are remixes of Cichli from Chiastic Slide).

Here's hoping if it ever gets a vinyl reprint it's the 2x12" version that the promo got rather than a normal 1xLP. Collectively it's 29 and a half minutes so 1xLP wouldn't be out of the question, but it's officially labeled an EP by the band so 2x12"...

Can anyone confirm having a copy that has the correct track A1? Or does EVERY version have the misprint where the first track of Analogue Bubblebath 3 replaces the first track of Analogue Bubblebath 1?

Because it's not a compilation or a best of. It's a live album. This is the first appearance of the live versions of these tracks from these specific nights.

I see you got your answer soundcloud-side but for anyone else wondering it's Isopropophlex (the 2nd track off of Analogue Bubblebath 1).
