OMG, from now on I will exclusively refer to them as "thesaurus punk". A more apt descriptor there could not be.
Cradle Of Filth - Existence Is Futile
posted a review of Cradle Of Filth - Existence Is Futile. 4 months ago
I was a big fan of Cradle in the late 90's, kinda lost track of them after Damnation and a Day, but I came back with this one on a whim, and I am more than impressed! I've been listening to a lot of Death Metal and Black Metal lately that's great in... See full review

I was gonna buy this at under $10 Canadian, but thought "nah, I've got the CD, I don't really need it". And that is what regret sounds like.
Nova Twins - Supernova

I'm almost certainly far too late, but I personally found my pressing very muffled and "fuzzy" sounding, thought maybe my old stereo system was finally conking out, but other albums still sounded fine. Might just be my copy.
Drain (3)
posted a comment on Drain (3). 10 months ago
I'm spinning both CD releases back-to-back, having not listened to Drain in years, and it is an utter, contemptable shame they didn't get waaay bigger than they did. These tunes really stick, even after all these years I find myself singing along to... See full review

I saw this album as a repress when I was in a local record store on Tuesday, as a stand-alone release (not part of the box set, that is). It's not listed in Discogs yet, but it definitely exists!

Warrant - Dog Eat Dog

Found this in a box of old tapes. I didn't really give it a proper chance back in the day, but listening to it now, this might be my favourite Warrant album. Sure, it doesn't have the classics like "Uncle Tom's Cabin" or "Heaven", but it also has less... See full review

I was wondering the same thing, my copy sounds flawless, I'm listening to it now after having a few people ask me how bad it was. The only part that sounded off, as you said, was the intro to Hero, but I just looked it up on Youtube, and it's clearly... See full review

I gotta say, with all the talk of pressing albums into double discs to improve sound, this fits a remarkable amount of songs per side, and sounds amazing! I actually notice the depth in sound on this one, and I'm not usually the type to register that... See full review

The Flexi-disc is actually lightly glued to the outside of the front of the box. Pull it off to play.

Awesome, I totally missed that, thanks!!

Spectacular box set, so far everything sounds great, but is anyone else missing the flexi-disc from theirs? It's certainly not as bad as missing an album, don't know if I should contact Sony over it, wondering if this affected anyone else, or perhaps... See full review

My kingdom for the 8-song version on vinyl. Or in the absence of said kingdom, at least some of my money.

I'm an Ottawa guy, I've taken my amps into Spaceman many times, please please, I beg you (without a hint of discretion or self-respect) press this into vinyl (logistical hurdles notwithstanding)l!! One of my favourite albums of the 90's!!!
Ani DiFranco - Little Plastic Castle

I was introduced to Ani when this album came out, and I think it's still my favourite. I would love nothing more than to see this on vinyl. Ani, I know if you released this in record format, Righteous Babe would be printing money (or mine, at least).

I was trying to think of ways I could express my feelings about this album, but you pretty much nailed all of it. Should be a classic of the genre, in my opinion anyway.

I gotta say, there are very few bands with albums close to the end of their career, that for me, defined the experience of their music. While I love the older stuff, this is the album that I play from start to finish on a regular basis. There simply... See full review

I used to listen to this a fair bit when it came out. I've been going a bit vinyl exclusive in my collection lately, I think this one is worth a pressing in that format.

Even though I own the original pressing, I would buy a repress that had "So Complicated" on it. One of my favourite songs on the album, I can't fathom why they dropped it from North American releases, including the only vinyl release.

Has anyone noticed the vinyl mix has less tracks in it that the digital? I became very familiar with the vinyl, but having just used the download card for the mp3s, I notice from the outset there seems to be more going on, particularly with Nobody's... See full review
