there is no 'rip off' at all! actually i love this box, while i am in the lucky position to own all the originals, minus the famous 'breakin' and enterin' 12" - that was only printed 25 times in '83- simply because THERE IS NO TAPE ANYMORE...and compared ... See full review

i disagree completely...this record was groundbreaking for various reasons...'very thin 808 beats'...it's better than this crappy software-shit of nowadays...oh, and have you ever heard an john robie production? THAT'S A THIN 808 right ... See full review

i love this tune...and though it's 8 years now, his lyrical statements on this one are even more on point by now, than they were back then...'...the minds that conceive this, are crippled to the flow...'

honestly, i never really understood the lyrics completely, but i don't care!
basically this tune is still my most favourite electrotune ever:
the beat is so bouncin' and wigglein' like nothing else on earth, the quirky voice just makes me think of a ... See full review

fits in every mix, still works on any floor, and it's very strange in terms of:

contrary to it's title and record cover, i just can't hear NO 808, but a DMX with the same sounds wreckin'cru (world class), arabian prince (let's hit the beach), pet shop ... See full review

it's bassline seems to be played on a real bass guitar, which is pretty rare in electro...i think it was the last 12" he has done, but i'm not sure...also he seems into esoteric things, as jams like al-nafiysh or chatau vie suggest...very atmospheric and ... See full review

one of egypt's top masterpieces...the dark and sinister pad added to that slammin' linndrum-beat with it's clattering handclaps is just awesome, the vocoder is flawless, and it's pretty non-typical compared to the rest of the lover's works. GREAT!
