You mean Mel Torme isn't lounge Mel Torme?

Thanks for the review. Without a video to go by I probably would have passed this up at the thrift shop.

Be very careful cleaning either the record or the sleeve. Label is cheap paper. And the cover will run and get sticky!

One of my absolute favorite albums from the 90s. One great track after another. Not to be a crank but it’s just irrefutable. Hip-hop has only gone downhill since this branch got killed off. The musicality, lyricism and range within the genre are long ... See full review

Had this on cd back in the day. Great mid-year hip hop. Back when the lyrics were playful and not dumbed down and the sampling was still very experimental and varied. Some fantastic tracks on this record.

Fantastic album. So full of great songs. Bleeding edge of new wave. Joe should have a bigger place in rock history than he does.

Fantastic. Ecstasy of Gold is one of the best 3+ minutes of music ever written. So perfectly captures the scene.

If you dig John Prine just go ahead and admit that you like country music. There’s no shame in that. Prine and Townes and the other outlaw country guys are County not Folk.

I’m not a polka aficionado, by any means, but this is a fun Christmas album. Not the stereotypical oom-pah polka you have in your head when you think POLKA.

The most overlooked album of the 70s. Aside from Pet Sounds maybe their greatest album. And Student Demonstration Time may be dated but it’s not as bad as remembered. Very early use of singing through a megaphone.

Found this for cheap at an antique shop, so picked it up on a lark. It’s not at all what I expected. I figured it would be in that mid-70s folk mold and probably not all that good. It’s actualy a really good album. It’s soft rock for sure and some songs ... See full review

RRRecords. Ron's a cool guy and legendary in the psych/experimental space. But, man, his shop is like Brigadoon. It's only open once every hundred years. Not once in the past 5 years that I've driven by on my way to Garnick's

A lucky score at Savers thrift shop. 1st side is better but I do like the whole album. Folk but not too folk. More along the lines of a singer songwriter like Steve Forbert or early Jackson Brown.

So many classic loops that have sampled since the earliest days of rap/hip hop. A fantastic album.
