referencing Younger Than Yesterday (LP, Album) YS-824-C
My Japanesecopy on orange cbs label YS-824-C has a different tracklist ie compilation of Younger than Yesterday tracks A1to A6
& 5D B1 to B6- True mono and absolutely works in mono. Love the sound of this album! Punchy and dynamic. CBS UK pressings are always top quality too.
- Same edition: https://www.discogs.com/release/8281848-The-Byrds-Younger-Than-Yesterday
Also mystype in "other": it should be 02-467045-10, not 42-467045-10. - Contains one of David Crosby's finest songs, "Everybody's Been Burned", and one of his most self-indulgent, "Mind Gardens". This is a 1971 pressing, and while it's still a bit thin sounding, it's got considerably more low end than my copy of FIFTH DIMENSION. My copy plays nice and clean, with virtually no surface noise.
- Non ho altre versioni per fare un confronto.
Comunque suona senza rumori di fondo, buone voci, per i mie gusti avrei preferito un suono leggermente più caldo, è una buona ristampa. - I've got original mono, stereo, the Sundazed mono and this Sundazed stereo pressing. Of the four, this pressing is my preferred way to hear the album. As someone commented below, the bottom end has been lifted some and the top end has been harnessed a bit. Original pressings were a bit top end heavy, though the bass was more present than on their first three LP's. This mastering has tamed the top a bit and brought the drums up just a bit, making it the best sounding YTY that I've heard.
I don't get the bitching about bonus tracks. I like having all of the album project related tracks on vinyl. I guess if there's a complaint about the bonus tracks, it would be that it's missing the essential "Lady Friend" (if it was a question of space then toss "Don't Make Waves" to make room for it). Still, a fine package and recommended. - By far the greatest I have ever heard this album in stereo. Mono is still ideal for this album, but the sound is crisp and detailed on a great heavyweight
