Free Force – M.I.R.C.O.

Pretty sure this record is the source of the school bell alarm sample from Ace the Space "9 is a classic." For me, The original mix is where it's at with proto-doom techno vibes. Could definitely see how this was influential in Frankfurt.

Never seen this one before finding at my local thrift store today. I am
glad I did because it's fantastic. It's exactly the kind of 1990 production
that I am down with. It has all the right elements typical of it's time, but
also has a certain extra something going on as well. Side A tracks are
breakbeat house, while side B is definitely on the acid house tip..
Seems rather overlooked and undervalued as far as I can tell.

Really underrated, underground Italian techno with an acid house edge. All four mixes are different enough from one another to keep things interesting. Certainly the best release on this relatively small, unknown and obscure label imho.

Edit: Bah! Just noticed the notes on the release above already mention the edit info of original mix.. Too late and not observant enough as per usual :(
