Each side of the record features guided narration about the many different sounds and effects ranging from animals, water, thunderstorms, trains, police sirens, and more.
Record sleeve features several "Poems to Hear By" that are suggested to go along with the sounds.

"Play the See-Saw sound recording. Focus on one section at a time, perhaps over a period of several days. Children will be able to hear jungle sounds, city sounds, country sounds, indoor sounds, the sounds of weather, water, and so on...."
