The best compilation in history of the Belgian nightlife, buy it if you can... it's worth every centreferencing TSOB - The Sound Of Belgium (10×12", 33 ⅓ RPM, 45 RPM, Compilation, Limited Edition, Box Set, ) LMFLF213
All I can add this is the most overrated compilation in in history , sorry to some . Not worth the $$$$- Tracks 2-3 and 2-4 are kinda mixed into each other. There is a tiny snippet of the outro from track 2-3 on the very beginning of track 2-4 as if both were mixed together but of course on the CD they've been separated onto their own tracks. Just also noticed the digital version of this release has a much longer version of the 2-3 track (Fatal Error) so perhaps the CD version is edited.
So I played the two files in foobar2000 v1.5.3 (which has gapless playback) and the tracks mixed together perfectly so these two tracks are taken from a mix and that the indexing for the CD wasn't quite on perfect time but luckily the end of track 2-4 ends without it being mixed into the next track as there is a clear ending to it where the vocal drops out from the beat. - Does any one know if mastering is good or if they have killed the dynamics with tons of compression, anything taken from vinyl.. many thanks

Invest in this if you are an oldschooler or a new comer! Invest! You will not be disappointed! Some of the tracks on this compilation would cost you alot more if bought as the individual original releases! Recommended? Ummmm hell yeah!- Does anyone know which version of Confetti's "Sound of C" appears here? It's over seven minutes long, while most of the single versions are a couple minutes shorter. And I believe there's less sampling in this longer version that appears on this compilation. Anybody know? Anybody?
- Not all tracks from Belgium...But you have to understand the criteria were chosen because certain tracks , many songs not from Belgium influenced DJs and Belgian producers , has led them to create new sounds that are then propagated across the continent.
It was time that was created a proper tribute to the Belgian scene whether Ebm , New Beat , Acid House , Techno , New Wave , Trance etc ...Do not let him slip along with the documentary and the second chapter . Boccaccio. De allereerste keer dat ik daar binnen kwam, met New Beat, dit werd gedraaid. Ik ben blijven staan bij de entrée. En ik werd zo gepakt door die muziek dat ik ben gaan huilen.
The first time I went to Boccaccio during the New Beat craze, they played this track. And I froze at the entrance. The music grabbed me so strongly, I started to cry.
Eddy Declercq in The Sound Of Belgium, Jozef De Villé, 2013
The kind of recollections that could be seen as cheesy or romanticised by the nostalgia of a bygone era. A consequence of the current trend to express feelings in an exaggerated fashion in an attempt to convey artificial emotion and grab one's attention.
Except that, in said documentary, Eddy Declercq plays the track whilst telling this first-hand memory. And it still rips your guts out to this day.
Kudos to La Musique Fait La Force for re-releasing it as part of this outstanding compilation.- Can anyone tell me why Klaus Schulze is featured? I love his music but he's German and I can't really find a connection between this song and Belgium.
