Reviews
- This record is one of the best albums of all time !! "Rain Forest" by Walter Wanderley (1932 -1986).He was born in Recife,Brazil.. In 1966 he made this record..It was produced by Creed Taylor..(Liner notes by Tony Bennett)..The longest track is 3 mins. 40 secs..Someone in the comments on youtube said that some of it was used in an Austin Powers movie..Another comment said :"when I listen to this album it makes me feel like everything is alright"..I love the sound of the organ..It's purely instrumental..but you kinda know the song lyrics anyway..Like when he does his great version of "Song of the jet " or "Samba do Aviao"(in Portuguese), you know that part of it talks about seeing the statue "Cristo Redentor" from the aeroplane..Generally pretty upbeat album..but when he does a very sad piece called "Rain" I happen to think that it's the best track on the album.."Into each life some rain must fall",as an old song says and I think that the sadness conveyed in this track is really well-done..This abum is pure gold enjoyment for me !!
