- Edited one month agoJust got this in 2024. It’s my first MOFI record and I must say, it sounds fantastic. Pinkerton has never sounded this good. Glad I stumbled upon this in a local record shop. If they only pressed 15000 I got copy 012542.
- I’m just curious. I got this 3 years ago for like $35 from an online retailer and it’s numbered and can’t recall if was out of 15,000 or more. Is the recent batch numbered as well?
- Listening on headphones for the first run through. It’s super intimate. Have heard this album countless times and know it fairly well. This sounds like a veil was lifted off it. The vocals and drums really are a treat throughout - as well as all of the tertiary instruments like the glock on The Good Life. Backup vox are super present and you really get the whole of it all.
I also have the 4xLP deluxe which sounds pretty darn good but this blows it out of the water. Highly recommended!! - Just got this because they restocked it. I love the sound of this record especially the drums and hope they repress the Blue album as well.
- Last time this stocked on MOFi it said "Going out of print" and "only a few copies available". Guess that was a lie as well. Notice they don't mention what the Limited Edition number is any longer as well. They must need money for that class action lawsuit which is why they are repressing so many older products before releasing many of the new ones they have been announcing.
- Excellent, heavy, crystal clear sound with great low end and stereo imaging. This is a great presentation of my favorite Weezer album.
- This is by far the best sounding album in my collection. The sound of a band at their peak on top of it. Getting goosebumps while listening to it for the first time.
- ‘Mastered from the original master tapes and pressed on 180g LP at RTI’ … also on MoFi webpage now : ‘Digital clone of original digital master to analog console to lathe’ …
- I had to switch from speakers to headphones to make sure I was hearing the album correctly, for example the sound of an idle amp at the beginning of The Good Life, and IMO made the album sound better. The first four songs sound OK, but the rest of the albums recorded at Sound City are truly a treat. Can't figure out where Butterfly was recorded, but it's a wonderful closer.
