James Hamilton

Born 25th December 1942, England; died 17th June 1996 in Blyth, Nottinghamshire.

British DJ and music journalist, most notably for Record Mirror. Recognised as a pioneering advocate of disco mixing in the UK and the addition of beats per minute (BPM) calculations to record reviews.

The records he reviewed were often obtained from The Record & Disco Centre in Rayners Lane, Pinner.
