Charlie Chester

British comedian and TV/Radio presenter, writer and songwriter.
Born in Eastbourne, Sussex, England 26 Apr 1914 Died 26 Jun 1997 (aged 83) in Twickenham, London, England.
Chester was popular with British audiences in the 1940s from his BBC radio show "Stand Easy". This show was adapted for television as The Charlie Chester Show in 1949 and became a stand-up and sketch show for the next 11 years.
He started out at age 13 as a boy singer-yodeller, before becoming a comedian later in his teens.
