The Fabulous Plaids

In 1959 the band started playing R&B and soul music to country dancers at the Owl Club near Matthews, NC, USA then to shaggers at Pepperment Lounge, old Charlotte Coliseum, Jokers Lounge, Fireman's Hall, Winston's Night Club and many blues clubs in the Queen City. Known as a blue eyed soul band. In 1982 the Fabulous Plaids recorded their most popular beach / shag tune, "Sexy Ways" and many others along the way. They performed live on the '82 and '83 Myrtle Beach Music Awards Shows and all over the southeast at beach fests, for charitable groups, TV stations and fraternity row college circuits.
