Rock band from Lisbon, Portugal, formed in 1995.
Bruno Alves and Orlando Cohen met at the Bar Gingão, Bairro Alto-Lisbon, in 1995.
They soon came to the conclusion that they wanted to form a band because of their musical tastes being similar to rock n 'roll.
Inspired by bands like Clash, Ramones, Devo, Rezillos, Stranglers...
They begin to compose the first songs of the band in the rented room of the Orlando where Bruno appeared with the bass, several times...
In 1996 they put an ad looking for drummer in the Blitz Newspaper.
Some drummers answered, but only one remained, Álvaro Amaro.
They rented a rehearsal room in the "Juke Box" and quickly rehearsed the themes that would play in upcoming concerts...
I will not be like that !, IRS, Memórias, Prisão among others, were the first subjects that the group presented / displayed live.
They gave 19 concerts between 1996 and 1998.
It's time to change drummers...
They found the Luis Camera that came to fill the place of Álvaro.
A demo was recorded with Álvaro and another with Luís, who left on the 1st album of the band.
At the end of 1998 they decided to end the band...
In 2010 Bruno and Orlando decided to return with the Spokesmen, this time with Anselmo and Rui Loureiro "Contacto".
The first performance of the band was in "In live-café" in Moita.
However they recorded the 1st CD "I will not be like this!", Without Anselmo, who was replaced by Paulão.
In October 2014 they released their 2nd CD "Obligation Hallucination" with Paulão in the recording of the drums, "paper" that later will be played by Jorge Correia.
More things have happened... and the book remains open, with lots of story to tell, lots of music to give, and lots of road to go.
