Solo artist and saxophonist Julian Smith, also known as Joolz Gianni, is a popular and accomplished music act who has appeared on stage alongside some of the biggest names in British pop and funk.

A music teacher from Halesowen, Birmingham Joolz Gianni is known across the UK by his solo artist stage name and boasts appearances alongside the likes of Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley, Rose Royce’s Gwen Dickey and the Average White Band’s Hamish Stuart.

Alongside his work as a solo artist Joolz Gianni has also acted as a sessional musician for music acts such as M People and Dina Carroll. Smith made his big break in 2009 when he appeared on the television talent show Britain’s Got Talent where he went on to achieve third place behind the show’s unlikely winner and musical theatre specialist Susan Boyle.
