Đorđe Balašević

Serbian chanson poet & pop music singer-songwriter, born May 11, 1953 in Novi Sad, Yugoslavia (now Serbia), died on February 19, 2021 in Novi Sad, Serbia due to complications of COVID-19.

He started his music career in the band ''Žetva'' (1977-1978) and his lyrics became widely recognized after 2 albums with the band ''Rani mraz'' (1978-1982). He released his solo debut album in 1982 and since became one of the most widely recognized local chanson poets of modern times.
