René Swain

Real Name:René Moses Swain
Profile:

German rapper, born 1969 in Odenwald.

After a stay in the United States in 1988, the Hessian worked under the name Zyon (initially also Zion) with Sven Väth on his project "Mosaic".

Later, his first hip-hop album was released under the name Al Rakhun on the Dope On Plastic label. In 1991 he worked under the name Waldvogel on the production of the first single by folk musician Florian Silbereisen.

In the same year another stay in the United States followed, where Germ also got his stage name. During his training as a sound engineer, the young man from Germany was given the name "Germ" for short. Germ is also the acronym for Genetically Engineered Reincarnated Master Brain. From 1993 to 1996, Germ returned to Frankfurt and released the Spirit of Attitude EP and the Day of Resurraction album. In 1996, Germ went to New York again and was able to release his music for the first time in the United States with More & More on the US label Shadow.

However, other attempts to establish himself in the United States failed, so he returned to Germany in 2001 and this time settled in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
