American R&B/Soul singer, drummer, actor and TV show host.
Married to Jeree Palmer (1989).
He was very successful performer at the early 60's
and, as actor, he played in several blaxploitation movies of the 70s.
Best know by the TV audience to being the first Black host on a game show (CBS, 1975).
