Batheethyim

Batheethyim began as a Dark Ambient/Experimental project with harsh Black Metal screams and lyrical themes of mythology, evil, anti-christianity, pagan folklore, darkness, depression, black magic/rituals, etc. This style was played on their first 2 tapes, before eventually becoming a fully Black Metal project in the late 90s, adding focus on guitar riffs, blastbeats, etc. although still with Ambient elements in some intro tracks and with many experimental structures and ideas. The albums themes were inspired by The Carpathian Forest of Wallachia, and was entirely recorded under the full moon, being recorded throughout the full moons of thee months during the Winter of 1998/1999. This would be their full-length debut and also their final release.

Before Batheethyim, sole-member James Barbuto had another project where he combined Dark Ambient with the vocals and themes of Death Metal and Doom/Death, called Blood Mercifier.
