Bruce Howard

Bruce Howard

Profile:

Songwriter and keyboard player with the legendary New Zealand band The La De Da's. He joined them after watching them play in a club in early 1965. He co-wrote much of their recorded work with Trevor Wilson, including the concept album, The Happy Prince, in 1969.

The project, and a growing distance between Howard & Wilson, and the rest of the band, caused the band to split in 1971 after a trip to London and Howard joined the Clefs, then Billy Thorpe's Aztecs

Bruce lived in London and Ibiza in the years afterwards, writing and playing. He passed away on July 28 2021.
