British recording artist and drum and bass MC (1 February 1975 - 27 February 2022)

Born in Waterloo, London, Skibadee started his career on the pirate radio station City Sound Radio in 1993 alongside DJs Pro-D and Cyrus, and by early 1995 Skibadee was featured regularly at events including Thunder & Joy and Spirit of the Jungle. By the end of 1997 Skibadee was a resident for Kool FM, Jungle Fever, New Jack City, and Innersense events.

Along with MC Det, Skibadee launched a new project called 2 x Freestyle in late 1997, which involved placing a drum and bass tempo over hip hop beats, therefore creating a double-time effect. He would often perform this style with its original innovator, Stevie Hyper D.

The single and subsequent video 'Inside Me' was a success after being accepted on MTV and The Box. In 1999 Skibadee received the first of three Knowledge awards for Best MC, and three Accelerated Culture awards. Since 2000, Skibadee began collaborating with Shabba D under the name SaSaSaS which become synonymous with the One Nation and Telepathy raves. He reached number 35 in the UK charts providing vocals on Dillinja's 'Twist 'Em Out' in 2003.

In 2006, he won the BBC 1Xtra Award For Best MC, and in 2007 he won the Southwest Drum n Bass Award For Best MC.

In 2008 and 2009, Skibadee won best Lyrical MC and Best Hype MC in the National Drum And Bass Awards and in 2010 won the best Crowd Hyper MC (for the third year in a row) as well as the Stevie Hyper D Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2010, he won Best MC at the Drum & Bass Arena Awards.
