De Novo Dahl

Profile:

Formed in Murfreesboro in 2001, originally a six-piece indie rock band with multiple songwriters and lead vocalists and a penchant for themed gig nights (wild west, beach party, etc) with obligatory audience participation. They produced one self-titled EP (2003) and one double album (Cats & Kittens, 2005) in this guise. They slimmed down to a five-piece after Derek Sandidge, Dave Carney and Mark Bond all left in the same week in 2006 (Bond to join The Features in 2007), and new members were recruited. Mainstream success still eluded them, despite major touring and a new album in 2007, and by 2010, they shifted lineups again to become a nine-piece band and a more epic sound, producing one final album Tigerlion.
