She had her own solo career in Germany during the 80s with songs like 'Call Me Tonight' and 'Don't Leave Me Now', before she became a member of Milli Vanilli with her twin sister Linda Rocco. Jodie appeared in many TV shows in Europe, won new artist of the year in 1984 in Germany and in the same year also represented Germany in Tokyo, Japan in the World Popular Song Festival where she won second place with a song she co-wrote, 'Don't Break The Silence'. In 1988, while working in Frank Farian’s FAR Studios in Rosbach, Germany for another artist Jodie Rocco and Linda Rocco were asked by Farian to do a couple of ‘ooh ooh ooh, I love you’s’ on just a drum track. The rest is, well, history. Music history that includes 46 million records sold, a Grammy, three American Music Awards, and multiple gold and platinum records. A legacy of music that lives today featuring Jodie Rocco, Linda Rocco, Brad Howell, John Davis, Charles Shaw, Robert Pilatus, and Fabrice Morvan. The album ‘Girl You Know It’s True’ released in the US and its European counterpart ‘All or Nothing' was one of the first digital recordings ever recorded for sale.
