Lew Williams

* January 12, 1934 in Chilicothe, Texas; † September 1, 2019 in Texas.
American Rockabilly singer and musican, composer in the 1950's and the beginning of the 1960's.
He left the music business at the end of 1963.
In the course of the Rockabilly and Rock 'n' Roll revival in the 1980s and 1990s, his songs from the 1950s achieved an undreamt-of popularity. The English music magazine "Cat Talk" was named after one of his titles. In April 2000 he was one of the headliners at the Viva Las Vegas Rock 'n' Roll Festival. After that he also performed at Rockabilly Festivals in Europe - over 40 years after his recordings!
