Producers

Real Name:Miguel Sá & Fernando Fadigas
Profile:

Fernando Fadigas and Miguel Sá are the men behind Variz, musicians, representatives and producers of records and settings, both spawned by the records and the live performances. Their music is the result of a successful live use of soft-ware and hard-ware, crossing the blips and beats language with incursions into surface texture, beat dissections and molecular scission experiences.
Producers performed alongside Frank Bretschneider, Schneider TM, Rechenzentrum, Portable, DJ Olive, Modul, Pure, DAT Politics, Nova Huta, Rafael Toral, João Castro Pinto, Zentex and Micro Audio Waves; in some international festivals: Demo AV (Arcos de Valdevez), Belfast festival at Queens (Belfast), Mór festival (Dublin), IFI 2003 (Pontevedra), Número festival 2005 (Lisbon), SuperStereo Demonstration 2005 (Linhares da Beira), Duplu01 (Porto), Hertzoscópio 2004 (Lisbon), Sonic Scope 2004 (Lisbon), Número festival 2003 (Lisbon), BRG 2002 (Braga), Boom festival 2002 (Idanha-à-Nova).

"The Producers (...) make the air move with a sort of arty, physical, wistful and hard techno, ripped off of a vintage assembly line that specialises in making up gas leaks in phantom industrial units." - Jorge Manuel Lopes in BLITZ.

"It isn't just the ultra sound samples, or Hana Bi's places, or the various kicks. When it all comes together it works and you're left with the feeling that you've been standing before one of the most bizarre sound and structure combinations you've experienced in the past few years." - João da Concorrência in Eurosom.

"Miguel and Fernando, the Batman and Robin of Portuguese electronic music? Well that's the abiding memory of this swashbuckling duo who made their Dublin debut performances. [...] From small steps to leaps and bounds. This is the beginning." - Michael McDermott, A Dublin Odyssey.
