Umut Akalin

Although Dj/producer Umut Akalin has been around for well over a decade, it has only been over the last few years that his career has progressed to the next level. As an ever rising talent with an ability not yet fully blossomed, Umut produces music with passion and emotion. For the past couple of years the reaction he has received has been outstanding. His debut release Forever You and Me on Sleazy Deep , and Boyz Not Toyz on Prison Entertainment received major support and earned him to remix some of the greatest names around ,such as Fabricio Pacenha, Vanilla Ace, Elektromekanik, Ordonez, Max Lyazgin, Saccao & Rafael Cerato. Umut originally started his music career when he was a student in Cyprus in 1995. In 2001, he launched Radio Le Chic which was owned by the renowned ATV group and carried out the role of music director. The same year he was also offered partnership by Prosound and saw him taken the role of music director for many legendary clubs and radios such as ; Radio Cool -2003, Club Zero-2003, Halikarnas-2004, Hadigari 2005-2006-2007, Radio Plus-2006 and Mansion / Kyrenia 2008.In 2009 his relocation to London has seen him gaining residencies for some of the best club nights of the UK, such as Renacimiento, Muak, Twilo and Promised London parties. Umut has played regularly for some of the best electronic music radio stations such as Radio FG, Frisky Radio, Digitally Imported, Proton Radio, Frisky Radio, Kiss FM, Number1 FM, Unknown FM and more. He is also hosting his radio show "Natural High," on FriskyRadio.com & Westradio.gr.These days, Umut is juggling in between gigs and working hard in the studio on new material. His productions are lined up to be released on Dialtone, Southshore digital , Sleazy Deep, Love Not Money, Cream Couture, StayFly, Spirit Soul, Capital Heaven, his own imprint Natural High and many more… He also has a few projects that keeps him busy his own radio stations Lechic.fm , Cafedelmar.fm, as well as his production alias WeGoDeep with his partner in crime and his record label Natural High are a few to mention … Expect to hear more from him … He definitely is the one to watch!
