Profile:	Label founded in 1983 to release Jamaican reggae performances on LP and more specifically to release reggae live recordings from the 1982 Reggae Sunsplash festival whose total rights were purchased. Went on to release (approximately) 12 well received LPs from the festival sessions over the next 6 or 7 years. In the late 1980s parent company Sunsplash Records, Inc. was purchased by Adelphi Records Inc. and Sunsplash Records became a subsidiary label under the Adelphi Records label banner.
