Stompa Phunk Music is the imprint we use showcase our artists, many of which are residents at our club events. Set up in 1999 the main purpose of the label is to provide an outlet for the artists who contribute to our club’s sound and spread this vibe to a national & international audience.
Initially the roster comprised of Void, Serge Santiago & the notorious Ben Burns, all of which are founder members of Stompa Phunk. Now the label has grown to encompass three other main acts Missing Time, Bullit catcher & more recently Mula, the band that will define the future of Stompa Phunk Music.
The sound of the label has two main influences one is the sound the artists & DJs from Stompa Phunk play and the other is the huge influence of our contemporaries, who all contribute to Stompa Phunk’s club activities & look out for forthcomming remixes from these artists who are the biggest names in underground house & electronica.
The best way to describe the label is that it's a slice of atmophere straight from the dancefloor of a Stompa Phunk party & pressed on to plastic. A bit rough around the edges but but thats just the way we like it.
