Kaskade's sophomore album is a lot slower than his debut, and does indeed sound like a collection of B-sides from his debut. That being said, it isn't a bad album and definitely one for the chill-heads. I feel it is slightly "poppier" than his first album, which balanced the line perfectly between pop house and more cerebral deep house. This album is slightly more in the pop territory, but perhaps thats just because of the larger portion of downtempo. Still, some tremendous cuts (including the Andy Caldwell collab), definitely a lovely listen on a summer's day. 4/5

This release version is quite rare & hard to get... It's a great album from start to finish... But, it's the bonus 8-track CD that makes it worth having, all 8 tracks are brilliant!

A Kaskade/OM Masterpiece! Sounds amazing! Clean flat pressing. Dynamic! This one was done right!

I love this album - and as a lover of the OM label generally this is a lovely edition. it touches on dreamy feel good vocal house and lounge and has well thought through beat production. There are stand out tracks and some which I knew already but I don’t feel the album is let down by other tracks personally. It’s (for me!) a well rounded production. Great summer sound if you are looking for something to lounge by the pool with in Ibiza. Enjoy!

Kaskade’s second album, IN THE MOMENT, comes quickly on the heels of his first, IT’S YOU, IT’S ME. At times, however, it comes off as an album of B-sides that didn’t quite make it. Overall, it lacks the over-arching vision that made IT’S YOU, IT’S ME hold together. “Steppin’ Out” starts off with some guitar and slightly angst-ridden vocals that hint at crossover appeal, while “Maybe” and “Honesty” are both somewhat unremarkable downtempo, despite judicious use of strings in both tracks. On the bright side, however, “I Like the Way” and “Sweet Love” harken back to their earlier album’s club-friendliness, while “Strum,” with its broken beat, is a more credible downtempo contender. “One You,” “Soundtrack to the Soul,” and “Yeah Right” try for sexy, but end up sounding pale. His collaboration with Andy Caldwell, “Everything,” and “Move” infuse some tech-soul into the proceedings. “Let You Go,” a dreamy, deep house track, ends the album on a high and melodic note -- which only makes you wonder why the other tracks couldn’t reach the same heights.
