Stadio – Stadio

Can’t speak for any of Stadio’s later work, we’ll just take the Internet’s word that they are pop-rock albums. But Stadio’s debut has crossover appeal to prog fans, especially when considered alongside the many Italian pop artists that made one progressive album in the 1970s. This is kind of the early 1980s equivalent. There are symphonic textures throughout, and it is as much a rock album as a pop album, usually soft rock but not entirely. The longest track is usually a good bet for prog fans, and this one is no exception, so audition Un Fiore per Hal. Unlike the other tracks, it was written by keyboardist Fabio Liberatori, who would go on to release a couple worthwhile CDs on M.P. Records 15-20 years later.

This is a reiusse, not remastered, version of the original release. This copy has a high dynamic resolution (DR12). The Best album of stadio for me.
