- Edited one year agoHave to say i feel a bit sorry for the 2nd CD in this package. I don't suppose anyone that bought this would be have played it much - they'd probably be expecting the typical cheesy dance versions usually associated with radio hits, but instead it's something all-together different (it is psychedelic abstractions of the original tracks). The result sounds like something the Chem's might have cooked up in the studio around 97 mixed with some Jagwar Ma and a bit of Bentley Rhythm Ace. To get the correct audience it probably should have been released separately by "JDP" and called something like "A Dodgy Psychedelic Journey". Very pleased i picked up this version for an extra 40p :-)
- Well done Demon. Quiet as anything, great colours, sounds good. Shame no poly sleeves and gatefold but recommended.
Takes me back donkeys years when I had tickets to see them at Brixton and had to leave during their set as I had to catch the train home. Gutted. - Absolute wowzer of a compilation this, and sounds beautiful on record. One of the most criminally underated bands in the planet.
