Sugar Ray (2) – Floored

Great pressing! MOV is generally always lovely with their pressings, and it shows with the quality of this release - there's little surface noise and the mastering is great! The bass is really highlighted. The green color of the vinyl is also pretty cool lmao

Will go ahead and mimic the two reviews before mine. Excellent, quiet pressing. This is only the second MOV pressing I’ve acquired (Avril Lavigne’s “Under My Skin” was the first) and each one is just totally perfect. I’ll also comment on how there was next to no warping and THAT is hard to see anymore in the world of vinyl.

Pressing sounds fantastic, no noise, good volume/mastering. MOV doing what they do best.

How does this new pressing sound? They knocked it out of the park with the Lemonade and Brownies pressing. This album here has never had the best mastering I don't believe, so I'm curious about this one...

I own a 1997 cassette version that is not listed. It must be a European edition made in Germany

How does this vinyl issue sound? Originals are pricy and it looks like flippers in Japan are ending up with them. Hopefully this isn't an issue for too much longer and we see a decent vinyl reissue, MOV or Rhino.

Purchased Japanese release of Sugar Ray's "Floored" only because of "Fly (Rock Edit)" bonus track, as I have not heard it before, could not find it anywhere, and had hoped it would ROCK, unlike the poppy original. Turned out it was a hoax, as on Japanese release they included IDENTICAL version of the "Fly" track (minus Super Cat vocals), that was previously released as 13th track on "Floored" albums (and on THIS one as well?!). Track 14, "Fly (Rock Edit)" is completely identical as track 13, "Fly". Do I feel cheated? Yes I do - and if you purchased this for same reasons - you should too.

I would only recommend this for collector's value and if you like your CD's to come with lyrics included, because there is separate sheet with band biography in Japanese and lyrics in English. Otherwise, if you're happy with your original "Floored" LP/CD - avoid this one.
