Released one year after his first album, and just as strong, Wearealwayswellthankyou is yet another staple of early Datach'i's style. Free In A Box starts the album right with a drill n' bass song that is the aural equivalent of crop circles. Shortly after comes the beautiful "Merrily We Roll Along" with its blinding breakbeats and its seemingly orchestrated melody. "Uma Is Dead" sees Datach'i tossing a coin in which both sides face up with a beautiful ambient track side by side with a noise/gabber track. "Welcome 2 The Jackolope" opens with with what sounds like it's being generated by a child's toy shortly before jumping into the drill n' bass he's known for all the way. "Klahtmies" starts out a noise track before the pretty melody (and repeated pressing of the highest key on the keyboard) sets in. "Falp(318)+15 Degrees" is a little more on the dark ambient side with an oceanic bass and his classic drums. The title track in itself is a real beauty, with the faux orchestra at full use once more, in yet another fast-paced song that should have been used by Sonic Team for their video games. "Cold Shift" is yet another chilling dark ambient piece which occasionally becomes a happy, upbeat tune and shifts back again, with the what sounds like a shivering computer for drums. Then we have "The Business Man," with a melody that sounds like it was done with a Game Boy, and not just a drum track, but a set of weird noises also playing along. "Clownman" makes even more use of the false Game Boy synths used in the previous track alongside with a creepy organ track that could make flesh crawl. "Memorandum" is a neat synth track with a drum track that always makes me think of Gantz Graf by Autechre. "Animals Coming Home Are Excited" Is a solemn, happy peice. Even with the drums, I could see using it to get to sleep. The four part "What It Is" is breathtaking, starting out with what sounds like a cross between a pipe organ and a choir as a straightforward drum n' bass track before verging into drill n' bass territory and, eventually, into an ambient track consisting entirely of echoing and modulated vocals and various effects, and even later, into Datach'i and a relative of his playing "Leonard Park" from his first album on piano and cello during pouring rain. a rainy day. Finally, as a a brief closer to both the song and the album, you get a collage consisting of a snippet from a phone call, a song that seems to have been generated by a child's toy, and what appears to be a scream.
