Still don't understand how they could choose Abel, Secret Meeting and Lit Up as singles over Mr. November. If anyone from The National is reading this: Please release Mr. November as a 7"referencing Alligator (LP, Album, Reissue) BBQLP 241
Pressing sounds fine, just fine. Clean and crisp, but the vocal is buried, which I guess is how the National rolls. I mean, the music is fine, I guess, and not at all objectionable. But…is that it? Not a lot of risk taking here, just a perfectly fine early 00’s album. I missed them the first time around when I was starting up a family and am now more than willing to give them a shot, but there’s just not a lot here to get me excited. What am I missing? But yeah, the pressing itself is fine, just fine.referencing Alligator (CD, Album, Repress) BBQCD 241
I bought this CD from The National themselves when I saw them live at the Houston House of Blues in October of 2010. Great show but that goes without saying.- Superb pressing ! I was skeptical about the colored vinyl but it's a real audiophile press. Very quiet and detailed. Sound is clear and dynamic. A great one !
- Awesome pressing, sounds really pure, and mine has almost nothing in the way of pops etc. Really solid pressing, looks great too
- Edited 2 years agoIt's a good pressing with some clicks here & there but not too annoying on the whole. Yet, I think Boxer is doing better as far as sound quality is concerned. But yeah, this is a very good pressing, no doubt!

Tears when hearing City Middle. Everytime. Such an amazing song with top lyrics.referencing Alligator (LP, Album) BBQLP 241
can someone add a vinyl release to this page? I'd be shocked if this wasn't available on vinyl- Edited 2 years agoHow does this sound so analog and uncompressed? It’s as if it was recorded on tape in the early 90s.
