Edited one year agoreferencing Stiff Jazz / Ford Transit (12") CR 20131
"Stiff Jazz" is a light yet sad deep-houser bordering on nujazz. Its melancholic nature is reflected in its raw samples blended with the strings & melodies.
"Ford Transit" is a gritty cut which has a slightly hard-hitting hip hop mentality thrown into the production. The Arabic-sounding strings bring a slight moodiness to the table and bring the track up several notches. While it's meant to be on 33, I normally play it on 45 since the strings sound a bit better on that speed but it's a great cut either speed.
